The Covid-19 precaution dosage administration has covered more than 22 crore individuals so far
India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage had surpassed 219.56 crore (2,19,56,65,598) doses as of 7 am on Tuesday, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Additionally, it stated that since the Covid-19 immunisation programme for adolescents aged 12 to 14 years began on March 16, 2022, more than 4.12 crore (4,12,36,182) adolescents have received the vaccine's initial dose while more than 3 crore (3,23,44,170) of them have also received the second dose of vaccine.
Similarly, the Covid-19 precaution dosage administration for adults aged 18 to 59, which began on April 10, 2022, has covered more than 17 crore (17,20,22,608) individuals, while individuals who are above the age of 60 and have already got precautionary doses are more than 4 crore (4,83,23,043).
The ministry also said that 22,549 cases are now active in India, making up 0.05% of all positive cases reported so far in the country.
It further stated that, as a result, India's recovery rate is at 98.76%. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 4,40,93,409 people who have recovered, including 1,503 in the past 24 hours.
Regarding the last 24 hours, there were 63,786 Covid-19 tests conducted throughout the country, of which 862 new cases were reported. So far, India has carried out over 90.01 crore (90,01,49,497) cumulative tests and the country's weekly positivity rate is now at 1.02%, while the daily positivity rate is reportedly at 1.35%.
