The visit is taking place when India and the US are enjoying strong bilateral relations with Americans, cutting across party lines, have rallied behind India to help it in fighting Covid-19 pandemic

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be visiting the United States from May 24-28, 2021.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday, Jaishankar is expected to meet UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in New York.

In Washington DC, the EAM will hold discussions with his counterpart Antony Blinken.

He will also be meeting cabinet members and senior officials of the Joe Biden administration dealing with the bilateral relationship.

EAM Jaishankar will have two interactions with business forums on economic and COVID-related cooperation between India and the US.
