The conference will have representatives from 75 nations and international organizations
The third Ministerial Conference on Countering Terrorism Financing, titled 'No Money for Terror,' will be held on November 18 and 19 in New Delhi by India's Ministry of Home Affairs.
The conference will address the use of formal and informal channels of funding for terrorism, emerging technology, terrorist financing, and the need for global cooperation to solve related concerns.
Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah will attend the conference and deliver a message outlining India's resolve in combating terrorism as well as its support mechanisms for doing so.
The conference will also see the attendance of representatives from 75 nations and international organizations.
According to an official press release from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the hosting of this conference demonstrates the significance the Modi administration attaches to the problem of international terrorism, as well as its zero-tolerance approach to this threat and holding discussions about it in the international community.
The press release also stated that the goal of this conference is to expand on the conversations the worldwide community had at the two previous conferences, which were held in Paris (2018) and Melbourne (2019).
Additionally, it plans to explore the technological, legal, regulatory, and cooperative elements of all areas of funding terrorism. It makes an effort to establish the tone for additional high-level political and official discussions aimed at preventing the financing of terrorism.
