Highlighting the strides made by India on its way to achieve the target of becoming a a USD 5 trillion Economy, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh has invited business leaders from Vietnam to become part of this success story.
He rolled out the invitation while delivering the keynote address at the Horasis Global India Business Meeting held at Binh Doung New City, Vietnam, from September 25 to 27. Vietnam's Binh Duong Province and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) jointly hosted the meeting.
"Pleasure to attend Horasis India Meeting 2022, Dien Dan Hop Tac Kinh Te An Do Horasis 2022, Binh Durong. Escalating bilateral economic engagement has been manifested as one of the essential pillars for future partnership and cooperation between the two countries," MoS Singh tweeted.
According to an official press release, MoS Singh expressed his gratitude that Horasis India Meetings had grown to be a significant economic forum for Indian business leaders and their international counterparts to discuss a wide range of sectors and formulate strategies for their global ambitions since its founding in 2009.
Horasis is a company that builds platforms for partnerships with businesses from developing economies to promote collaboration between those sectors and developed markets.
Later, he also met with Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Le Minh Khai and discussed how the historic "Joint Vision for Peace, Prosperity, and People," which was established at the Bilateral Virtual Summit in December 2020, is guiding the development of the two countries' ties.
During the visit, he also had meetings with Nguyen Van Loi, the party secretary of Binh Duong Province, and Nguyen Van Nen, the party secretary of Ho Chi Minh City.
As part of the visit, the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City also hosted an event with the Indian community. During it, he discussed the various initiatives the Indian government has taken to benefit the Indian diaspora community and gave them the assurance that Indian missions abroad will always serve as their "home away from home" for all Pravasi Bhartiyas.
