The country’s vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 72.37 Crore

With the administration of 67,58,491 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, the country's COVID-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 72.37 Crore (72,37,84,586) as per provisional reports till 7 am on Friday.

Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States and UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that is being reported for 75 consecutive days now with India reporting 34,973 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The recovery of 37,681 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,23,42,299.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.49%.

The country’s active caseload is presently 3,90,646. Active cases presently constitute 1.18% of the country's total positive cases.

The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 17,87,611 tests being conducted.

India has so far conducted over 53.86 cr (53,86,04,854) cumulative tests.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.31% remains less than 3% for the last 77 days now.

The Daily Positivity rate reported to be1.96%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below3% for the last 11 days and below 5% for 95 consecutive days now.
